Co-curated with artist, Bermeo, A.R.T. is excited to host a group of artists bringing traditions of graffiti from the 70s & 80s as well as new interpretations of what street art and graffiti can look like.

It’s a party with a live DJ, artists in-shop & interactive opportunities to tag paper and canvases. BYOB and some drinks here as well. 420 friendly outdoor space as well.

A three-hour window for folks to drop in with their kiddos (or for the big kids to come on their own) and make crafts, play with Legos, & create art pieces with dry media. We provide the play space, you get to have fun without the pickup.

Learn to understand the difference between simply looking at an object to observing an object and all it’s elements. Gain the comprehension of how to use all the basic drawing tools. Professor Juan will take you on a journey of technique to represent your own object with your own personal artistic stamp.

Artist Instructor Noah will be guiding us through the process of planning, illustrating, and crafting a zine to tell your story, make a point, or simply make something beautiful and fun. Zines are self-designed and self-published short form magazines that are usually stapled or folded and disbursed by the artist themself.

Students will learn about color theory, color mixing, dry and wet brush techniques, and balance within a composition to make their own acrylic paint masterpiece. Artist Instructor Damaris will give ample demonstrations and one-on-one feedback to make you feel more confident with each brushstroke. Acrylic paint is a perfect starting ground or a great new medium to take on.

Join artist, Jasmin, as she guides us in making your own photographic story of Jackson Heights. You will be provided with a disposable camera (we’ll develop it for you) and guidance on how to compose the shot you want to achieve. Disposable cameras are an incredible practice in delayed gratification, take a break from your phone, and look at the world around us a little differently.

You’ll get to learn about different lettering styles, how to use your lettering tools, and practice making handcrafted lettering signage of your own. Want to learn a new art craft in 2024? Let watercolors geek, Damaris, guide you through the foundations of watercolors. Three-part course on three consecutive Fridays (2/16, 2/23, 3/1) that build on each other. You’ll learn how to use your brush in different ways, different paint techniques, and layering. Watercolors are beautiful, they can be punk, and they are an exercise in letting your creativity fully go.
