Tuesday Evening Oil Painting Workshops is an inclusive, hands-on series where beginners and returning painters learn the fundamentals and grow into advanced techniques at their own pace. Each week we cover essential topics: materials and preparation, color mixing and value, brushwork and marks, underpainting and layering, composition and design.

Working from a live nude model, we move from short poses for sketches to long poses for complete, finished drawings. Whether you want to focus on drawing or are looking to develop your skills as a painter, figure drawing is the time-honored way to develop skills that impact many art practices.
